Chinese and Japanese Gardens Singapore
Located on adjacent islands on Jurong Lake, Singapore's Chinese and Japanese Gardens are a lovely attraction. The two 13.5 hectare islands are linked by the 'Bridge of Double Beauty', making it easy to see both gardens in one visit.
Created in the classical Northern Chinese Imperial Style, the Chinese Gardens are a breathtaking collection of plant life. The beautiful landscaping shows off the garden's floral treasures, and make for a very pleasing stroll. The garden is also home to a Suzhou-style bonsai garden. Over 2000 bonsai plants are located here, all of which are pruned and grown in an exquisite style.
The Japanese 'Gardens of Tranquility' are less showy than the Chinese, but are lovely nevertheless. Pebbled pathways lead walkers through the grounds, over bridges and under old-style stone lanterns. Carp ponds are sprinkled throughout the gardens, housing hundreds of these colorful fish.
